Blog v.3

Last week, Google announced a new product. This amazing product is called Buzz.  Buzz isn’t perfect, but it does Twitter slightly better than Twitter in that there are no character limits and you can follow a conversation in threads versus mentions.  It allows for posting of links, music, videos, photos, and blog style posts as well as status updates.

One thing that Buzz relies on is Google Profiles.  In order to use Buzz, you must have a profile that everyone can see and has access to. This led me to a bit of thinking.

Using social media, I had always linked photos and blog posts back to our family blog. On that blog, there were also links to our personal photo album as well as names and information that I am not so sure I want the whole world to see. (Although they are on the internet so they can be found if people know where to look.)

The resolution, or so I believe it to be, is to separate my blog from our family blog. In the recent past I have been using our family blog more as a way to chronicle adventures in work as well as my fitness progression.

The solution was simple. I registered  Our hosting company allows for unlimited domains as well as unlimited bandwidth. The only charge was the domain registration, which was covered when I renewed the domain on our family site. (I also registered two other domain names.)

So here it is. My third attempt at a blog. I am looking forward to documenting changes in my exercise routine, adventures on overnights at work, and posting rants. If you are a friend of mine on facebook, you may have seen my rant on food. I will be working on a blog style post with the information in that discussion.

Thanks for taking the time to read this far. I look forward to what lies ahead.
